ISRS Externship Program
For ISRS Members Only
Apply to be an ISRS Extern
ISRS is pleased to announce a new opportunity, the ISRS Externship Program. ISRS members who practice in Europe, the Middle East or Africa are eligible to apply for the ISRS Externship Program, sponsored by Johnson & Johnson Vision.
Apply online by 11 December 2017 to participate in this pilot program. Let us know what you are looking for — preferred locations, areas of research, procedures you would like to observe, etc. If accepted, you will be paired with an externship host that best matches your request.
Externships will last between two weeks and three months, and take place in Europe, the Middle East or Africa. Stipends will be made available to help cover approved expenses (such as airfare, transportation, lodging, meals).
Become an Externship Host
If you are interested in hosting an ISRS observer, apply to be an externship host. Hosts must be ISRS members located in Europe, the Middle East or Africa.
The externship should focus on educational content, free from commercial influence or bias. Host applications are also due 11 December 2017.
Forward this Opportunity
Let your colleagues know about the ISRS Externship Program. Candidates must be ISRS members to participate. If someone is not currently a member, they can join ISRS for 2018 online.
